PRAYER FOCUS: Binding Oppression and Fear
Oppression and fear are tactics of the enemy which can have devastating effects in our lives!
The Lord says in Isaiah 58:6, “[Rather] is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every [enslaving] yoke?” [Acts 8:23.]
“You shall establish yourself in righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God’s will and order): you shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you.” Isaiah 54: 14 (AMP)
This is an amazing promise:
- Establish yourself in righteousness.
- Far from even the thought of oppression or destruction!
- You shall not fear.
- Far from terror, for it shall not come near you.
“How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed AND OPPRESSED BY [THE POWER OF] THE DEVIL, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 (AMP)
Remember that according to 2 Timothy 1:7… God has NOT given us a spirit of fear, BUT a spirit of power, of love and a sound mind/self-discipline!!
AND Isaiah 61:3… God has given us the oil of gladness instead of mourning… a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness/despair!!
Confess these Scriptures and put on that garment of praise!
Declare that you are a new creation in Christ Jesus; that you are an overcomer and more than a conqueror in Christ!
Declare that oppression shall not come near you and rejoice in your salvation!
