The 21 Day Daniel Fast 2018

21 Day Daniel Fast – Day 21

PRAYER FOCUS: A Spirit of Prayer for the Holy Spirit to Fall   Why is this the prayer focus on the last day of your fast? Because by now you are so sensitive to the Holy Spirit that you realize nothing else will satisfy.  Nothing else will do in a world gone mad.  This world needs the touch of God.  It needs the sweeping movement of the Holy Spirit convicting men of sin and drawing them to the cross. But you have to hunger for it.  There is a difference between wanting a drink and being thirsty. When you’re thirsty, Read more

PRAYER FOCUS: Lord, make me a disciplined, consistent disciple!   Mark 8:34 – 37 (NIV) Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matthew 4:19 – 20 (NIV) “Come, follow Read more

PRAYER FOCUS: Revival   Revival is when earth is attacked by heaven.  Revival is an awesome move of God that affects you in powerful ways.  Revival is when you get closer to heaven than you are to anything on earth.  We need revival in South Africa. We need heaven to touch earth with power.  So, as you near the end of your fast, pray for revival.  Ask God to send the rain of His Spirit on the land to break up the hardened hearts and bring forth a harvest of souls.  Cry out for it as a desperate man crying Read more

PRAYER FOCUS: Body of Christ   Christians all over the world need prayer.  In China, believers meet in secret locations in the underground church. If they are discovered, they risk being beaten, tortured, imprisoned, and worse, for their faith.  In Ethiopia, believers are brutally attacked and suffer greatly when they refuse to renounce Jesus. In other hostile and closed regions, brave believers share the Word of God with others at great personal risk.  Even in our “Christian” nation, the cross of Christ and our beliefs are constantly under attack. So, on this eighteenth day of your fast, concentrate in prayer Read more

PRAYER FOCUS: Pastors   Pastors need prayer. Sometimes the weight of ministry can get so overwhelming that the joy, freshness, and power of the calling can be forgotten… It brings discouragement and defeat.  (See 1 Kings 18-19.)      The attacks affect not only pastors, but often their families as well. Fasting and praying for protection, restored joy, and increased anointing in your pastor’s life will release untold blessings on him, your church, and even your own life.         Ephesians 6: 19 – 20 (NIV) Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I Read more

PRAYER FOCUS: Binding Oppression and Fear   Oppression and fear are tactics of the enemy which can have devastating effects in our lives! The Lord says in Isaiah 54: 14 (AMP): “You shall establish yourself in righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God’s will and order): you shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you.”  This is an amazing promise: Establish yourself in righteousness. Far from even the thought of oppression or destruction! You shall not fear. Far from terror, for it shall Read more

PRAYER FOCUS: Favour When you truly grasp the concept of God’s favour, of His capacity, you will never be the same.  You see, when you offer God a cup, He not only fills it, as David said, but He also overflows it (Psalm 23:5).  God’s “capacity” is unlimited and can not be exhausted. In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit didn’t merely “enter” the room; He “filled the whole house where they were sitting” (v2).  So whatever you are believing God for during this fast, I encourage you to believe Him for the maximum.  Believe Him for His favour… for His Read more
