21 Day Daniel Fast – Day 8

I will not be discouraged. I will experience God’s faithfulness!

My trust is in God as I know He will never fail me!

I will not become negative as God is my source, my strength,

my joy and nothing is too difficult for Him!

You might think nothing is happening but that does not mean that God is not working in your situation. It might be taking time, but that does not mean that God has forgotten you or run out of options. No matter how you feel or what your emotions are dictating – even if the circumstances seem impossible – trust Him. He is faithful and watches over His Word to perform it!

He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? – Hebrews 13:5b – 6 (AMP)

PRAYER FOCUS: Those in authority and our city and nation.

1 Timothy 2:1 – 3

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour.

  • Thank the Lord for all those in authority at local and national level, whether you agree with them or not!
  • Confess that righteousness will prevail in our nation.
  • Confess that every demonic spirit controlling local and national government have their powers broken in Jesus’ name.
  • Every power contrary to the Word of God will fall and go in Jesus’ name.
  • Declare, according to 1 Timothy 2, that as we do this and pray for those in authority we will live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
  • Praise the Lord. Give Him thanks and declare God as the supreme authority in our nation.
  • Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you. Praise the Lord!
